The Carolina Company, LLC
The Carolina Company is a community development organization focused on revitalizing African American neighborhoods and communities. The ultimate goal is to make African American communities a safe place to live, a prosperous place to have a business and a place where African Americans can take pride in being a part of something special.
The Carolina Company has three major areas of concern that need to be addressed. First, is job creation, second is changing the physical appearance of the community and third is creating pride in self and community.
Job creation (career) is critical to any community because it establishes an economy where money and resources start to circulate throughout the community. Jobs give men and women the ability to provide basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and education for their families. A career gives individuals skills and a sense of pride.
The physical appearance of a community; vacant lots, condemned buildings, trash on the streets, unkempt lawns and broken down cars give the residents that same feeling. That they are vacant and don’t matter, condemned and never able to succeed, they are trash and thrown away, they are broken down and cannot get fixed.
Every person needs something to take pride in his or her lives. It gives them a reason to get up in the morning and get through the day. Home ownership instills pride and a better economic future.

To create a community based organization to develop African American entrepreneurs who would economically uplift their communities and provide the necessary resources to live a more fulfilling, safe and productive life within their neighborhood.Vision Statement:
